Ben & Denver

Partners in love and adventure — chasing golden light down the coastline, one sunrise at a time.

Ben

Ben is the one lying in the sand to get the angle — or knee-deep in a rockpool because a crab looked interesting. A photographer with a soft spot for golden hour and anything wild, he'll happily wait an hour for a sea eagle to turn its head. That patience is exactly what he brings to sessions with people, too: no rushing, no stiff posing, just time for the real moments to happen. If your shoot feels more like a beach walk than a photo shoot, that's Ben doing his job.

Denver

Denver is the one who spots the whale before anyone else does. A photographer with an eye for the big picture — literally — she's happiest on a headland at first light, camera in one hand and a thermos in the other. Years of chasing wildlife and wild places taught her to read light, weather and timing, and she brings that same instinct to every shoot: knowing exactly when the ordinary is about to become worth photographing.

And yes — we both fly the drone. We're both CASA-accredited, every flight is planned around airspace, weather and the rules, and we have a strict no-comment policy on who lands it more smoothly.

Why “Benver”?

Ben plus Denver. Two Brits who met in Australia, fell for each other — and, just as hopelessly, for the ocean — and never really came in off the beach. When you fall in love with a photographer, you end up with a shared camera bag, a standing 5am alarm, and eventually a business name. Benver Studios grew out of the thing we'd rather be doing than anything else: getting outside together, chasing wildlife and wild light from Sydney's eastern beaches up to the peninsula and out to the national parks — and, whenever we can sneak away, up to northern Queensland, our favourite stretch of coast anywhere. The sunrises are better with company; come see for yourself.

Back at home, every gallery is edited under the close supervision of Yuki, our cat, who remains unimpressed by all of it.
